Study Model 3

The Concept that was used in making this model is the movement of the waves from the nearby waterway. It mainly studied Horizontal Displacement and the flowing of traffic from one level to the next.

A wave is a disturbance that travels through a mediumfrom one location to another. As a disturbance moves through a medium from one particle to its adjacent particle, energy is being transported from one end of the medium to the other.

  1. These study models are great posts! They show the image and your transformation of the ideas that you seen in the image. The models relate to the image, but are a step between the 3D of the image and a massing of a building. Nice work! You should take one of these and transform it through sketches and/or another round of modeling to a more building-like structure.

  2. A nice attempt in totality. Derivation from the source image is appropriate, it captures the essence. The key issue here is to depict the transfer of energy and horizontal displacement inherent to the motion of waves. Also important is the rhythm and movement. It would be interesting to see the composition in "spatial" terms, whether the inspiration is carried at that level or not?

At the level of composition there is potential for more energetic expression of the theme. This would mean that there shall be more sensitivity towards the space and its handling.

    Treatment is cohesive and delicate.
