Circulation which is portrayed by the metal coil. Transparency which is depicted by the fabric and Structure which was depicted by the wood, plastic and white museum board.
The image that drove me to create this piece originated from this illustration of Surface Waves in Water.
I would rather see it as "unfolding of waves". The segment in the center impressively conveys release of energy and gives meaning to the composition. Separation of structure, transparency and circulation makes me think of more life-like situations!!
ReplyDeleteHow do we define spatial quality? It is contributed by both built and unbuilt. This composition can be a good study.
Why refrain from seeing things in a new light? Why leave a base like a .....base. The reference plane can itself become something more than that.
